New Review Published on Activity of Cationic Host Defence Peptides Against Category A and Emerging Infections

A new review from Dr Peter Barlow and colleagues has been published which discusses the antimicrobial and antiviral activity of Cationic Host Defence Peptides (CHDP: also known as antimicrobial peptides), against Category A and emerging infections. The article has been published online in the journal Pathogens and Global Health and discusses peptide based therapeutic options for Category A biological agents which are classified by the United States National Institutes for Health, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the US Department of Homeland Security, as carrying the most severe threat in terms of human health.  The authors of the review include Fern Findlay, Dr Lorna Proudfoot and Dr Craig Stevens.
